IF YOU'RE a bit clueless when it comes to how to dress or
just hate shopping with a passion, here are a few ways to make it easier

Start with wardrobe basics
You've probably got more important things to worry about than
fashion (work, golf, your next fishing trip...) so the key is to make it as
easy as possible. Make sure your wardrobe is stocked with the essential
building blocks and you can never go wrong!
These staple items are: a great-fitting pair of jeans, a few
t-shirts in block neutral shades (think black, white, navy, grey etc), a
versatile overcoat, a selection of button-up shirts you can interchange for
work and weekend, a sharp blazer, chino shorts and a great suit.
Invest in the pieces you wear all the
time
Invest in those items that will last you a lifetime or that you plan
on wearing every day, like a suit or comfortable shoes. You'll thank yourself
in the long run! Then you can spend less on items you might not wear so often
or buy for a specific occasion.
A blazer is an easy way to look pulled
together
Blazers are one of my favorite wardrobe pieces for adding instant
style. Wear with plain work pants for during the week and over the top of a
t-shirt and jeans for the weekend. It's easy to throw on and you'll look sharp
as a tack! Just remember - there's a difference between a blazer and a suit
jacket.
Learn to accessorize
Accessories are everything! Good shoes, a nice watch and cool
sunglasses can make anything look good.
Have a shopping game plan
If you dislike shopping, it's probably because when you need to
go, you wander aimlessly around. Try to plan your shopping trip by researching
online - you can check out what stores are around, what product they have in
and compare prices. This will make your shopping trip much speedier so you can
get back to something you enjoy.
Have a budget in mind
Set aside a budget to take shopping, whether you do so often or
save up each week for a big shop at the end of the year. That way, you know
exactly how much you're spending, and can use any leftovers for something
you've had your eye on. Did someone say new TV?
Don't be afraid to seek help
When shopping for clothes, accept help from the retail assistants.
They know what will suit you; fit you and what's on sale so you can get the
best outfit without having to know anything about fashion!
